Pyelonephritis is a urinary tract infection of the bladder.

Acute non-obstructive pyelonephritis usually presents with flank pain, renal tenderness on palpation, fever, chills, hematuria, or the symptoms of a lower UTI infection.

Pyelonephritis should be cultured for, with a 7-10 day regime of antibiotics administered through IV or by mouth.
