Menometorrhagia is an abnormality of the menstrual cycle in the reproductive female in which there is excessive uterine bleeding both at the usual time of menstrial periods and at other irregular intervals (1).

Menometorrhagia can be caused by anovulation; fibroids; endometrial polyps, hyperplasia, or malignancy; or cervical carcinoma.
