Cow's milk protien allergies are the most common pediatric gastroenterology disorder that also shows a 20% crossover with soy-based formulae, and high crossover with other non-human milk. Usually, this is manifested by irritability, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, or failure to thrive. Diagnosis happens by switching to alternate formula - soy first then hypoallergenic. About 80% of cases resolve by the age of 2, and 90% by 3.
