Juvenile polyps are a type of hamartomatous colorectal polyp. They are usually solitary and are most common in children younger than the age of 10, though they also occur in adults. They represent a mass of disorganized mucosa with cystically dilated crypts set in an inflamed stroma. Juvenile polyps typically present with rectal bleeding and tend to autoamputate.

Juvenile polyposis is a syndrome characterized by multiple juvenile polyps not only in the colon, but also the stomach and small bowel. It has autosomal dominant inheritance and is associated with an increased risk of colorectal cancer.
