Functional gut disorder

Functional gut disorders are those disorders of the gastrointestinal system that produce gastrointestinal tract problems without any apparent organic cause. These diseases lie on a spectrum, and may include globus sensation, atypical chest pain, functional or nonulcer dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome, and proctalgia fugax.
